The 2016 Queen City Brewers Festival will take place Saturday, February 6 at The Fillmore at the NC Music Factory.
“For the fifth anniversary of QCBF we will be inviting a remarkable 30 breweries from the Charlotte-area. When the event premiered in 2012, we had eight,” said QCBF creator, Charlotte Program Director and Marketing Director for ACEing Autism, Nils Weldy.
Those who attended QCBF at the Neighborhood Theatre in 2012 and 2013 will recall the event’s intimacy and laid-back vibe. The Fillmore emanates these qualities with a larger floor plan and serves the festival’s mission to a T: bring the Charlotte-area’s breweries and craft beer enthusiasts together for a worthy cause.
“The impact the festival has had on developing the Charlotte ACEing Autism program has been tremendous. We come together once a year not only to celebrate the incredible beer culture we have in Charlotte, but also to share how we are improving the lives of children with autism with their physical fitness and social skills. We can’t thank our attendees, brewers and sponsors enough for their support over the years,” said Weldy.
There will be two tasting sessions: 1-4pm and 6-9pm. Attendees will be able to enjoy beer tasting and food sampling from hand picked exhibitors. Six new breweries (potentially more!) will be invited to make their QCBF debut as part of the 2016 brewery lineup. There will also be live music, games from Innova Disc Golf and a chance to win prizes.
New in 2016 will be the ‘Best Brewery of QCBF‘ presented by Gravity Magazine. The trophy presentation will take place on stage at the conclusion of the evening session.
Tickets are limited and go on sale Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 9am (punch that date in your calendar now!).
We can’t wait to welcome you to QCBF 2016 on Feb. 6!
