Charlotte will be on tap as the 2nd annual Queen City Brewers Festival (QCBF) returns to the Neighborhood Theatre (511 E. 36th Street, Charlotte, NC, 28205), on Saturday, February 2nd, 2013. To refresh your memory from last year’s inagurual festival, QCBF is exclusive to the Charlotte-area breweries that are raising the Queen City’s profile on the craft beer map. Each brewery will showcase a variety of its beers and brewers are encouraged to bring one “super” flavor or style of beer especially for QCBF, as the event takes place the day before the Super Bowl.
In addition to the 11 breweries on hand, be sure to meet and greet our sponsors. Highlights include Revolution Ale House offering bites from their new menu and the chance to win prizes by correctly guessing a mystery brew they’ll be pouring; the NoDa Brewing Run Club Powered by OrthoCarolina Running armed with top-notch giveaway items to keep your New Year’s resolution in tact; JJ’s Red Hots will be selling hand-crafted eats from its food vending station; Earth Fare is back with Super Bowl themed snacks and you’ll thank yourself later by recharging with samples of Kombucha tea from our friends at Lenny Boy.
Proceeds raised from the event benefit Partners for Parks, a nonprofit, nonpartisan foundation that seeks to promote and enhance parks, recreation and open space in neighborhoods throughout Mecklenburg County and the surrounding area.
Guests will also enjoy live music, works by local artists and Daniel Hartis of Charlotte Beer will be there for the first signing of “Charlotte Beer: A History of Brewing in the Queen City.”
There will be two tasting sessions: 1-4PM and 6-9PM. Admission is $25 per session and guests must have a valid photo ID and be 21 years of age or older to enter the festival.
